Among wooden walls and the scent of leather, Pierino works calmly, the way it was once done. In his workshop every shoe tells a story, every tool is a fragment of memory. With needle, thread and practised hands, he mends, restitches, hands on. His is an old craft, made of precision and listening, that stubbornly resists time and fast consumption.<\/p>

In a courtyard in the valley, Teresina performs one of the oldest gestures of country life: she dresses the hemp<\/em>. She gathers, combs, spins. With patience and skill she turns raw fibre into thread, and thread into story.<\/p>

Working hemp was hard labour, certainly, but it was also company, identity, women's culture. Today, thanks to Teresina, that knowledge becomes visible again, resurfacing like a thread that ties us to the land and to history.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Above the green pastures of the Giudicarie, Vigilio still works as a mountain herdsman just as it was once done. He milks, works the milk and makes cheese with old, precise gestures handed down through generations. Every day follows the rhythms of nature; every season sets its own rules.<\/p>
